LLFD opens doors to public
The community was invited into Long Lake Fire Station 1 Oct. 13 for the department’s fire prevention open house. In past years, the department held a kids’ day in October, but they changed it to an open house this year to get more of the community involved. This year was also different as the open house was held in the evening from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. rather than in the afternoon. Activities at the event included a car fire demonstration, face painting, a silent auction, a jump house and fire truck rides.
