From the period of March 3 through March 8 the Orono Police Department issued a total of 34 citations. Those included 16 for speeding, six for no insurance, five for expired registration, three for moving violations, two for driver’s license violations, two for seat belt violations, one for juvenile curfew, one for controlled substance possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and controlled substance possession of drug paraphernalia. The department also reported the following arrests during the time period:
• A 23-year-old Minneapolis woman was arrested for driving after revocation, giving a false name to a police officer and obstructing the legal process by interfering with a police officer.
For the period of March 9 through March 15 the Orono Police Department issued a total of 26 citations. Those included 13 for speeding, five for no insurance, five for moving violations, four for driving after license revocation/suspension/cancellation and three for driver’s license violations. The department also reported the following arrests during the time period:
• A 61-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for driving while impaired.
• A 45-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested for driving without insurance.
