North Shore boys perform well at 2015 Salto Invitational and MIGS Meets

Over the weekend of March 6-8, 12 boy gymnasts from Maple Plain’s North Shore Gymnastics (NSGA) competed in two meets. The Level 8 boys competed at the Salto Invitational held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and hosted by Salto Gymnastics of West Allis, Wisconsin. The Level 4-5 boys competed in the Mens Intercollegiate Gymnastics Support (MIGS) meet held at the University of Minnesota.

NSGA Level 8 gymnast, Charlie Kramer (age 13, Minnetrista) competed in the 13-14 age group and was awarded the gold medal on rings and the bronze medal for All Around with a score of 63.80. Kramer also finished third on floor and fifth on pommel horse. Teammate Max Bortnem (age 13, Minnetrista) won the gold medal on floor and placed fourth on pommel horse.

NSGA’s Level 5 boys’ team had a seventh place finish with a score of 172.30. Henry Meisel (age 8, Mound) placed fifth with a score of 60.4. Meisel also finished second on floor, third on parallel bars, fourth on rings, and fifth on vault.

NSGA’s Level 4 boys’ team finished seventh with a score of 167.20. Team members who contributed to the team’s overall strong finish included Marek Dykoski (age 6, Minnetrisa) and Teddy Johnson (age 7, Minnetrista).
