MWHS to host ‘History is going to Change’ concert

Mound Westonka High School will host a professional concert on Friday, Dec. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Little Theater. Tickets are $10 at the door.

The “History is going to Change” concerts are part of a series centered on the production of Minnesota clarinetist Sarah Porwoll-Lee’s new album of the same name. The album is a collection of new and recent music for clarinet and bass clarinet by all Minnesota-based composers – Katherine Bergman, Joshua Clausen, Libby Larsen, Ted Moore, and Daniel Nass, and features performances with James DeVoll (flute), Jeremy Johnston (percussion), Ben Osterhouse (cello), and Jerrod Wendland (piano), in addition to clarinet and bass clarinet. The album and concert series bring together the vast array of compositional personalities and styles in the Minnesota New Music community.
