The Mound Westonka High School Theatre Department is ready to present “Night Watch” as this spring’s production. Performances will be presented in the MWHS Little Theater at 7:30 p.m. March 17, 18 and 19, and at 2 p.m. on March 20. A show was added on Thursday, March 17, to accommodate double casting in three of the roles.
Based on a play by Lucille Fletcher, “Night Watch” is a suspense thriller about a woman named Ellen Wheeler, who one night, during a raging thunderstorm, frantically tells her husband, John, that from the living room window she has seen a murder being committed in the large old deserted house next door. John calls the police, but a search of the old house turns up nothing. And the story builds from there.
Cast members include senior Shelby Smith as Elaine Wheeler, senior Jane Isaacs as Blanche Cooke, sophomore Shelby Cooper and ninth-grader Sarah Brammer as Dr. Tracy Lake, sophomore Piper Bruce and junior Tori McCann as Helga, junior Natey Leif as John Wheeler, ninth-grader Joe Colianni as Curtis Appleby, senior Jack Curti as Lieutenant Walker, junior Charley Hagen as Sam Hoke, and ninth-grader Tia Meyer and junior Megan Martin as Vanelli.
Members of the tech crew include junior Max Taggart and ninth-grader Kris Kurtz. The production is directed by Tony Brown.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for high school students. Tickets will be available online beginning March 10 or in the activities office.
