MWHS boys tennis wins again Delano

The White Hawks took on their final conference opponent on May 12 and faced off against Delano. The team was victorious at home with a 5-2 win.

Playing at first single Victor Nelson, sophomore, stepped in for Tony Levens, who was ill, and won 6-2, 7-6. At second singles, Reed Kohls, sophomore, came out with a 6-2, 6-4 win.

Seniors Jack Reinhardt and Alex LaFortune won at the second doubles spot 6-1, 6-2. The third doubles team of freshman Charlie Reinhardt and junior Andrew LaFortune posted a very tight 7-6, 7-6 win.

The marathon match of the day was at third singles. Seventh-grader Jack Linder took a grueling 2 hours and 20 minutes to defeat his opponent in a nail biter 6-7, 7-6, 11-9 win.
The White Hawks ended conference play with a 2-4 record.
