Orono-Maple Plain legion baseball wins Montevideo tourney

The Orono-Maple Plain legion baseball team won the Montevideo Legion Baseball Tournament over the June 18-19 weekend. They defeated St. Charles 11-1, New London-Spicer 11-1, and in the finals on Sunday, Sacred Heart/MACCRAY 8-1.

The team is off to a strong 6-3 start to the season. They will host a 12-team Legion Aged Baseball Tournament over the weekend at Timpe Field in Maple Plain, Orono High School Varsity Field and Zach Erlander Field.
