Applicants are being sought to serve as interim school board member until a replacement for the remainder of a four-year term vacant by reason of death can be filled in the Nov. 7, 2017 election. The interim term would be approximately June to December, 2017.
Legal requirements: At least 21 years of age, a resident of District 277 for at least 30 days and be an eligible voter. Time commitment: 10-15 hours/month. Meetings: Regular board meetings are on average once a month. There are also special meetings, work sessions, in-services, and seminars. Board members receive an annual stipend.
