In a notable mid-tournament game against Cambridge-Isanti, Orono tied the game leading to an extra inning which they also tied, which led to another extra inning, which they again tied leading to a third and final extra inning. The game came to an end with Orono scoring six runs to win 13-12. The epic game, which should have lasted 75 minutes, lasted nearly three hours, leaving the girls exhausted but elated and earning the umpire minor celebrity and much jesting from his brethren.
The team was coached by Andrea Tysdal with Assistant Coach, Daniel Sanden and with support from Team Manager Elizabeth Kallay.
